I am SO in love with these new potholders I made. The main fabric is Metro Market Red Beaters from Kaufman. I bought it on clearance a long, long time ago and just couldn’t cut into it. Then I saw this tutorial from Prudent Baby and knew it was just right. The binding is made from Paula Prass’ Summer Soiree, Mints in Lime.

I knew that I wouldn’t be able to line up the pattern on the pocket with the back exactly, so I turned it sideways. I also used quilting tape instead of double fold bias tape for the extra width since the dots were so spread apart.

My favorite part? Probably the loops for hanging. (smile) If you want to get your hands on some of this quilting tape, it’s here in the store.
