I finally finished the table runner I’ve been working on for over a month! The Thanksgiving side was done using the strippy runner tutorial by twiddletails. For a while I couldn’t decide what color to quilt it with, but ended up going with a light green. Thank goodness I finally chose, because I finished it with just a few days to spare!
I used some Amy Butler dots for binding, and used this zig-zag binding tutorial from Stitched in Color. It was certainly faster than hand-stitching and seems to cover more mistakes than straight-stitching the binding on.
And for the other side… Halloween! This side is Cluck Cluck Sew’s Summer Runner tutorial. I didn’t get to use it in time for Halloween this year, but it will be waiting for me next year. I think it turned out really cute.
I’m entering my table runner in Rachel’s Celebrate Color contest over at Stitched in Color. Head over to check out all of the amazing entries!
