Lectures

All lectures can be done in-person or virtually via Zoom. Rate is $250 plus mileage if in-person.

Trunk Show/Quilting Journey

This one hour lecture includes a trunk show of pattern samples, the story of the path I took from childhood sewing all the way to designing patterns for Slightly Biased Quilts, and lots of tips and tricks that I’ve learned along the way! Topics include color selection for quilts, piecing tips, and quilt binding tips.

Classes

All classes are done in-person. Rate is $600 plus mileage for six hour classes, and $350 plus mileage for three hour classes.

Arboreal Quilt Class

The Arboreal Quilt Class is a six-hour class that leads attendees through the steps to create all four sizes of trees within the Arboreal quilt pattern. One out of four quadrants are assembled during the class.

Vela Quilt Class

The Vela Quilt Class is a six-hour class that leads attendees through the steps to create one out of four quadrants of the Vela quilt pattern.

Changing Leaves Quilt Class

The Changing Leaves Quilt Class is a six-hour class that leads attendees through the steps to create maple leaves for the Changing Leaves quilt pattern.

Blooms Quilt Class

The Butterfly Blooms Quilt class walks students through the steps of assembling each type of block in the Butterfly Blooms pattern - a flower, a butterfly, and a bee. This class is excellent for someone who is an advanced beginner and has assembled a couple of quilts, all the way up to experienced quilters!

Quilt Binding Class

The Quilt Binding Class is a three hour class that walks students through the steps of making and attaching quilt binding to a quilt. Students will bring pre-cut strips of fabric and enjoy the use of a binding machine that will do all the ironing for them! Then students will attach the binding to their quilt, by machine for the front side and then finishing the back side by hand.

Half Square Triangle Class

The Half Square Triangle (HST) Class is a three hour class that walks students through the steps of assembling four different sizes of HSTs, which are the building blocks for the Vertex quilt pattern.
