Join us for the Cider Mill Block of the Month (BOM) in 2024! Inspired by barn quilts, this fun and easy BOM will go through 11 months in 2024. We’ll sew these blocks together at our own pace, working through skill builders such as half-square triangles, quarter-square triangles, and square-in-square blocks! By the end of the BOM, you will have your own Cider Mill quilt to enjoy year-round.

For $25 total, you’ll receive:

Buying your pattern from your local quilt shop? No problem! You can join along the emails and Facebook group too!

All skill levels are welcome! This pattern is great for beginners and fun for all ranges of quilting skills. During the BOM, I will be sharing tips and tricks for each block via blog posts.

Immediately after you purchase the BOM, you will receive an emailed Welcome Packet along with any Cider Mill patterns released to date. The Welcome Packet will include fabric requirements and a coloring sheet. In addition to the patterns, we will use special hashtags on Instagram (#cidermillBOM and #cidermillquilt) to share our progress and cheer each other on! We will have a members-only Facebook group to chat in, and every quarter we will meet via Zoom to have fun and show off your blocks!

BOM FAQ

When does the BOM start?
We’ll kick off in January 2024, running for 11 months and finishing in November 2024. We will do one or two blocks per month, and the last month will be the final assembly instructions to put together the quilt top!

What size is the quilt?
The Cider Mill quilt is 68″ x 81″, a good throw size.

Can I get a kit for the fabrics?
Yes! I have kits available for either just the barn, grass, and sky, or for all of the fabrics for the top. The block kit features a Kona Solids Fat Eighth bundle, and the sky, barn, and grass are Ruby Star Society Speckled prints. You can also find kits from quilt shops here!

What are the giveaways for participating in the BOM?
